20s: Influences in Fall 2008 Collection

I was just looking at the Marc Jacobs Collection for this Fall 2008 upcoming, I think is a very simple way to dress, a pair of lace-up ankle booties, a nice coat, tights. I really liked it, some of them were wearing a hat.

The skirts at the beginning of the 20s were still long until 1924 were they became shorter, reaching mid-calf, actually the shortest skirts were just below the knee (nothing comparable with the ULTRA mini skirts from now, which I think if you combine them in a nice way, would do a nice outfit. Not wearing it just like that, at least not for me.) The evening dresses in the 20s were sleevless, with deep V or U shapped necklines. The most popular hair universally was short, and the ones with long hair wore it pulled back. Make up very obvious: red lips, powdered skin and dark eyes.

From the many pictures I've seen, women in the 20s wore hats, really nice ones, these inspired from Egypt, China, Japan and Russia. Headdresses including turbans, toques, kokoshniks and tiaras were reinvented as they say.

This are some of the comparisons I'm doing with the 20s clothes. and with the reinvented clothes in the Fall 2008 runaway.

Spring/Summer 2008

Well, as we can see the designers have already paraded their collections down in the catwalks. Great clothes, I just loved it a lot. The colours for these seasons upcoming, considering spring is here, are pastel colours like green, pink, lilac and yellow.

For shoes, the gladiotor sandals are back again. Personally I think they are really cute, and I'm looking forward to buy them.

Ok I wanna have these shoes.!!! I totally love hot pink for shoes or can be called fuchsia too. One of my greatest inspirations in style is Rachel Bilson, she has a great sense of fashion style, she dresses so well, her shoes, pants, and combines everything in a great way.

Yeah, so this is my new blog, and I actually have a lot. Well this is the one in blogger because i'm writing in English, let me see. Well, I'll introduce myself.
My new nickname for me, as I decided myself is Rui Sha, yeah actually that's supposed to be Larissa in Chinese. There are many ways for people to right me name: Larisa, Lariza, Larizza, and so on. (actually I don't think there are more ways) But my name is actually written as LariSSa. Yeah, double s.
I'm almost 18, so that means I will be free in a couple of months. I'm studying at Brigham Young University, best known as BYU. Located in Provo, UT. I've been here since August 2007 and I'll be here until I finish my career, or until I get married and get a green card XD, which I doubt. I don't like to study, actually I don't think everybody likes it, but well that's my way to live. I have a work tho, I clean the Student Health Center, and PROUD of IT! Well, yeah seems cool in every way. I have a total obsession for fashion magazines, fashion walks, and everything related to fashion: as extreme thinness too. But that's something I will talk about later on. Yeah I'm just in love with fashion all the way. I like combining my clothes with shoes and have my own style, I love shoes and I love clothes. Lately I haven't been buying much, but that's just because I find myself too fat to buy clothes, and that's the reason why I'm "punishing" myself. Anyway.

I like writing a lot, it's like something that keeps me alive, although my passion is math and chem, money too. LOL. I'm really talkative and my friends can say I'm actually crazy, well who knows. My major is business, also called Management, but I haven't got into my major yet. I have to finish some requirements, also called "pre-management core". Bullshit sometimes, I got a C in Statistics, which means I will have to take it again.
Recently I've been thinking about changing my major, but that takes much thought, so I'm not quite sure.
I have an obsession for shoes, I swear everytime I go to the mall I go back home with more than I have thought before I would buy. Other things I like is Asian Style.
They dress in a simple and fashionable way that makes everything look perfect on them.
Asian drama is the best, I'm stupidly obsessed with it, my favorites asian dramas are: It Started with a Kiss (aka ISWAK), They Kiss Again (aka TKA), Brown Sugar Macchiato (BSM, this is one of the lovest ones, because was the first I watched, and from that time on my journey in the Asian Drama path started. Also Korean movies, horror and romantic movies, they are both cool.

Not much to talk about now. I desperately want to learn Chinese, or Korean, i'm undecided about both. You definitely have to listen to these songs, they are great.
I defined myself as a bit EMOtional, not EMO, but emotional.
Anyway, today is an ordinary day in Peru, I'm on vacations. Haven't done nothing yet, but diet. Later on I will explain why.
